With the settlement on the west side of Lenzerheide, individual families and religious donated intimate sites of devotion. They stand in places like rocky edges, dangerous stretches, or in remote hamlets to protect them against misfortune and danger. They testify to the gratitude and the interest of the local population.

On the east side of the Lenzerheide holiday region respectively the community Vaz/Obervaz, there are no chapels, because the settlement of the main fractions Lain, Muldain and Zorten ran out and large parts of the forest area belonged to Lantsch / Lenz.

Various hikes lead past the different chapels.

Turn-by-turn directions

From the Post Lenzerheide, the visitor goes in the direction of Tgantieni (there is also the possibility to ride up the Tgantieni chairlift from Val Sporz), the Lady Chapel is below the mountain hotel Tgantieni. It was so strongly marked by wind and weather and was therefore renovated in 1988. The hike continues along the alpine path, towards Spoina. Then follow the trail to Lieptgas. There you will see a new chapel along the road in honor of St. Anthony. Continue in the direction of Heidsee and vis à vis the restaurant La Riva continue to the Lido. The trail leads you along the lake. Continue along the Heidbach through the squirrel forest. Opposite the tennis courts is the Mariengrotte on a small hill. It is a special kind of chapel in Lenzerheide because it was built by the Ingebohler Sister Redemta together with local youths. The path will take you past the school, to the Catholic Church of Lenzerheide, San Carlo. From there you can reach the post office in 5 minutes.
