One of the most beautiful cross-country ski runs in the Engadin lake district leads from Maloja to Sils Maria across the Lake Sils. It is completely flat and therefore suitable for beginners and professionals.

As soon as the Engadine lakes are frozen over in January, this fantastic cross-country ski trail from Maloja to Sils Maria across Lake Sils is prepared. It is very wide, approx. 20 metres are prepared for skating and 4 tracks are used for classic skiing. Therefore, the trail is suitable for everyone: professionals will find their way through the many kilometres of trails that run through the high valley, the only limit is your own physical condition! But beginners also like to take their first steps here - the lake landscape is completely flat and allows a good start. If the track is too short in one direction, you can make a nice turn at Sils and take the way back to Maloja behind the peninsula Chasté.
