Lake Cavloc
Lake Cavloc is a popular destination for hikers in summer and winter.
The short route to the lake is easily accessible in all seasons: in summer on foot, with a buggy or by bike, in winter on a prepared path also on foot, with cross-country skis or snowshoes.
During the warm season, the bravest ones venture for a swim in the lake while the barbecue areas and the wood provided by the municipality invite to get together, around a nice fire. In the little restaurant Cavloc, open only during summer, you can enjoy local delicacies and for those who do not want to return home empty-handed, there is a fine mascarplin (a typical Bergell goat cheese) for sale at Alp Cavloc.
From the lake, you can reach the Forno hut in a few hours on beautiful high-mountain trails. Or you can follow the path to Bitaberghsee and then back to Maloja.
